- "Who are the people in our neighbourhood?" -

Tell us a story - any story

As long as it’s your story to tell and you live in or have lived in Thunder Bay.

Need some help? Here are some questions to ask yourself to get started:

What’s your personal story?

Have you lived in Thunder Bay your whole life? If not, where have you lived? Why did you leave?

If you didn’t grow up here - what brought you here? What captured you about Thunder Bay and why did you stay?

Have you ever been in love? Tell us about it.

What do you value more than anything in the world?

What’s something about you that surprises people?

Where is your happy place?

Is there a dream that you have yet to achieve?

Has anything ever happened to you that you could not, and cannot, explain?

Tell us about your personal birth story.

How many generations of your family grew up in Thunder Bay? Tell us about them.

Write about a particularly exceptional day at work while working in Thunder Bay.

For what are you most grateful today?

Guidelines:

  • These stories will be shared online during the Festival this year - August 18-23rd, 2020 and some will be used to create a new work of art in the future.

  • You must have lived in Thunder Bay, Port Arthur, Fort William or the surrounding region at some point in your life.

  • We ask that they are true stories

  • You can remain anonymous if you choose - we hope to inspire people to tell truthful stories and allow them the anonymity to be completely open.
