Salt-Water Moon, 41/2 ignoble truths, eating with lola, Indie Stream

CHANGING NARRATIVES:

LIGHTING UP THUNDER BAY

In our second year, our core programming included Salt-Water Moon by David French. Overall, we had a greater representation of disciplines in the Festival.  We introduced dance into the festival along with our Indie Stream to showcase local and regional talent.  This included: Rain (short play) by Cathi Grandfield, One for Norma (short play) by Cathi GrandfieldIn Memory of Dane Gerrous (short play) by Carole SauveGolf Lessons (short play) by Jane CrossmanScrabble (short play) by Susan RogersThe Moose’s Ransom (short play) by Carole SauveA Family Story (short play) by Taina Chahal, Speechless (staged reading) by Cathi GrandfieldMaelstrom (Dance) by Mikaela Demers and Will Hamilton, Scratchlings by Mothlight, Stories and Songs  by Sean Jesseau and Mario PotestioThe Angies (a Rolling Stones, all female, tribute band) and Sunday Wilde and Reno Jack (Beat poetry and songs). Our Young Company this year was a full one-week intensive where a group of 16 youth devised their own show entitled This is Where we are Standing and presented it during the Festival. as part of our Youth Summer Theatre Program Initiative. We finished off with our extended core presenters:  41/2 Ignoble Truths by Thomas McKechnie, and eating with lola by Catherine Hernandez
